At Charlie Safari with two of my favorite girls and all our kiddos. (Little Jack McCall is hiding in Heidi's tummy still).
So glad that we were able to spend time with eachother and let our munchkins play till they dropped!

For my parents' Christmas present, Jason and I purchased my parents family photos from our favorite photographer, Heather Mann.
It had ben since we got married, almost 7 years ago, since we had done them. Since then, we have added two little girls and had a divorce, so it was time to update the album:)
This great girl (Heather) met us down at the boat in soupy fog to take the pictures. You have to keep in mind, this was the day after Chirstmas where my little one had had a double ear and eye infection. So in the grand scheme of things, they turned out pretty great!
We had a lot more that we would have done, but between the fog and the illness, this is what we got!
Oh, and seriously, when did my neice decide to turn 18 and become a BEAUTIFUL girl? I love this girl and so does Reese. They are best buddies:)

* And a little funny... I never mentioned to the photographer that my brother Jason and neice Victoria were father and daughter, and when Heather was taking their photos together she thought they were "together" and asked them to hug and kiss! You should have seen the look on my brother and neice's faces!!! Priceless! Although I think it scarred poor Tor.

And last but not least...

We recently decided to re-do our "Wreck Room". It really is our catch-all. It is our TV room, office, my sewing room and the girls play room. It had just about every kind of furniture in it and really needed a paint job. Can you believe that it only took Jason and I two hours on a friday night after the girls went to sleep to paint it? We looked at eachother afterwards like "did it really just take us 3 years to do this?" It was too easy!
Anyways...we went up to Ikea and got new end tables, a new computer desk, shelves, file cabinet, kids toy storage and FABRIC! Who knew that Ikea sold fabric by the bolt? And CUTE fabric? So Jason told me I could just "Whip" up some matching curtains and pillows. I scoffed at him at the time, but it really was easy. And now I can say that I made them:)

A sweet little dress...

This is my next project!
I got it here

And here is stuff that I am going to use! I LOVE the brown floral and it was my inspiration fabric. Both girls have red shirts hanging around so hopefully it turns out. More importantly these days, hopefully Reese likes it:) She is a tough cookie right now to please.
Oh, and I think I am going to make these to match with the scraps! Thanks Libby:)

Christmas Goodies

So these are what I decided to make some of my favorite people for Christmas this year. I kept seeing cute aprons everywhere and decided that we all need something pretty to wear in our kitchens! I sure do hope they enjoy them. I had fun making 12 sets of aprons and potholders!
(The girls and I's matching aprons is next)

"Oh my" is all I have to say!

I am so far behind in blogging, so I think I will just start fresh in 2010!

I sure do hope you all had a wonderful holiday season! Ours was blessed with lots of wonderful time with family and many wonderful new gifts. (And maybe a few unwanted pounds:))

It has taken me a week or so to be appreciative of my Christmas holiday. I woke up Christmas Eve morning so prepared. And...it all went to H*@# in a hand basket:) I will start off by explaining that we made a "special arrangement" with Santa to come to our house late the 23rd so that we could have Christmas morning on Christmas Eve. This was because Jason was working Christmas Day.

All the stockings were hung with care (filled to the brim), the tree was packed with presents, and a wonderful chistmas breakfast was ready. But my poor little Payt woke up with a 103 degree fever and a runny nose. We managed through gifts, but she just kept crying and saying "ow". So finally at 11:30 I ran her into the pediatrician (thank goodness for holiday hours) and it turned out she had a double ear infection, double eye infection and a UTI. Really??? Well Merry Christmas to her:(

We managed, and she is all better. And I am finally accepting the fact that I was sooo prepared, but really, I had no control. What will happen, will happen. And after all, we are all healthy and happy and having to re-design our house for the kids new toys! Nothing to complain about!

***I finally got my camera working again in time for Christmas, so I at least have some new photos to share.

I will be back soon to show you what I made some of my favorite people for Christmas:)
